Terms of service

Last updated: October 20, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the Strathlow online store ("Strathlow," "we," "us") and to every purchase you make from it. By using the store or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Shipping Policy are part of these Terms.

1. Who we are and how the store works

Strathlow is a retailer of bags made by independent leather workshops. Most orders ship directly from the workshop that makes the bag. Strathlow is the seller of record: your contract of sale is with us, and we handle your order, payment and support.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least the age of majority where you live to place an order. If you create an account, keep your login details private; you are responsible for activity on your account.

3. Products, descriptions and pricing

Product descriptions, photos and specifications are provided by the makers. We work to keep them accurate, but colors and finishes can vary by screen, and handmade or natural materials such as leather vary piece to piece. Prices are in U.S. dollars and can change without notice. If an item is listed at an incorrect price or is unavailable, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after you receive an order confirmation.

4. Orders and payment

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline it, for example if we suspect fraud or a product is out of stock. Payment is processed securely through Shopify's checkout; we never see or store your full card number.

5. Shipping, title and risk

Shipping is free on orders delivered to U.S. addresses. Delivery estimates are not guarantees. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the order is delivered to the carrier, but we will still help with lost or damaged packages as described in our Shipping Policy.

6. Returns and refunds

Returns are governed by our Refund Policy.

7. Warranties

Any warranty comes from the workshop that made the bag, and we will help you claim it. Except where the law doesn't allow it, the store and products are provided "as is," and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Strathlow is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Acceptable use and content

Don't misuse the store: no fraud, scraping, interference with its security, or reselling in violation of these Terms. Store content, logos and design belong to Strathlow or the makers and may not be copied without permission. If you post a review, you grant us permission to display it and you confirm it reflects your honest experience.

10. Third-party services

The store runs on Shopify and uses third-party services such as payment processors and carriers. Their own terms apply to their services.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue informally.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. The version posted when you place an order applies to that order.
